That's Right!  Pick Another Airport When Possible

During the time I worked for this particular airline, I was continuously amazed at the price fluctuations from one airport to another.

Would you believe that you may pay more for traveling to a more popular destination?

YOU WILL!  As stupid as this sounds, I advise you to get on the phone and call a few of the airlines and see for yourself.  Try these for your test calls:

If you are traveling to Washington D.C.'s Ronald Reagan Airport (DCA), or Washington Dulles Airport
     Compare the price into Baltimore, Maryland (BWI)

Traveling To New York City?
     Compare prices between LaGuardia Airport (LGA), John F. Kennedy
     International Airport (JFK), and Newark, NJ  (EWR).

Traveling to Hartford, CT ?
Compare to Providence, RI (PVD)

If your're Going to Chicago (ORD),
Compare to the Midway Airport also in Chicago (MDW)

Going to Los Angeles?
     Compare Los Angeles (LAX), to Ontario, CA (ONT), and John Wayne Int'l Airport (SNA).

How about traveling to San Francisco (SFO)?
Compare to Oakland, Ca (OAK) and San Jose (SJC).

If you're traveling to Orlando, Florida (MCO);
     Compare the price to that of  Tampa (TPA)

If you're going to Miami (MIA);
     Compare the prices to those of Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and West Palm Beach (PBI).

Traveling to Lafayette, LA or Baton Rouge, LA? (LFT or BTR)
Compare to New Orleans (MSY)

Travel to San Antonio, Tx (SAT)
Should be compared to Houston, TX (IAH or HOU)

These airports are usually only miles apart and if you're renting a car anyway, an extra half hour to an hour's drive or whatever can save you as much as $100 - $200 in airfare!
Per Person !

This is especially great when a family is traveling.  I probably shouldn't say this but, one of the lowest priced airline carriers is Southwest Airlines (Not the one I was employed by) and believe me when I say if you can fly into the airport that they service closest to your destination, YOU WILL GET A LOWER AIRFARE!

No matter the carrier, they have to compete with this particular Airline in this particular city!
